Lawn Jockey is a slur used to describe Blacks in a derogatory way. Most all Lawn Jockeys are Black, sometimes also known as Porch Monkey. Author Ralph Ellison used the term to describe black people who felt/were treated as if they were speaking on behalf of the black race.
